Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Nyungar art with our hands-on, 60 workshop designed to celebrate and share the unique artistic traditions of the Wadjemup region. Guided by skilled artists, participants will have the opportunity to explore traditional and contemporary techniques, using natural materials and storytelling as a foundation for creative expression.
Throughout the session, you’ll learn about the significance of symbols, patterns, and colour in Nyungar culture, and discover how art is used to convey stories, knowledge, and connection to Country. The workshop encourages participants of all ages—individuals, families, school groups, and organisations—to create their own meaningful works while gaining a deeper appreciation for the living culture of the Nyungar people.
No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Join us for this enriching experience, where art becomes a bridge to understanding, respect, and reconciliation. All are welcome to participate and contribute to the ongoing story of Wadjemup through creativity and shared learning.
